From 5–7 October 2026, Ventura Systems attended APTA TRANSform & EXPO in Chicago, one of the key events for the public transport industry in North America. Together with our American colleagues from Ventura Systems Inc., we welcomed visitors to our stand to showcase our door systems and strengthen our presence in the North American market.
Showcasing our door systems
One of the key features of our stand was an Ebusco 3.0 12-metre electric bus, fitted with both a Ventura Rapid Sliding door and a Plug Sliding door. Visitors could also see full-size displays of our 5th generation Inward Gliding ‘Lift’ door and 3rd generation Plug Sliding door, giving them a closer look at our door technology.
Our door systems were also represented on several other vehicles across the exhibition, including buses from BYD, Karsan, Damera, BraunAbility and FrontRunner. Seeing our door systems integrated into vehicles from different manufacturers highlighted Ventura Systems’ presence across the public transport industry.
A notable debut for Solaris
Another highlight of the exhibition was the US debut of the Solaris Urbino 40 Electric, on display on another stand at the exhibition. The bus featured a Ventura Inward Gliding door at the front and a plug sliding door at the rear.
APTA TRANSform & EXPO 2026 was a valuable opportunity for Ventura Systems to strengthen international connections, increase its visibility in North America and engage with the people and organisations shaping the future of public transport.
